What do you wear?

Hi! It’s Leigh again. Lori is still off taking care of business so I am here to write another post. Hopefully this one won’t be as dry or dull as the last one I wrote.

Last night I went shopping for some new undies. I got a cute matching top and bottom featuring Eeyore and a pack of basic undies. Exciting, no?

Well, here is my point. I have been wanting to buy some good undies, not just your basic Wally World cheap stuff. My husband has been trying to get me to buy nicer things for myself. My problem is that I don’t know what brands to trust. Victoria’s Secret is all the rage on the commercials, but I have herd mixed things about them.

What brands do you like? Are they worth the price? Where is the best place to shop?

Weight Loss Thoughts

Losing weight has been a popular subject on most of the blogs I have been visiting lately. I have to admit I am one of those bloggers. Summer is coming and we all want to shed a few pounds before swimsuit season. So, I am here to give you all my take on losing weight.

1. Don’t diet. Yes, you read that right. Do not diet. In order to lose weight and more importantly, keep it off, you have to change your entire attitude towards eating. It is a lifestyle change and a huge commitment. If you are serious about losing weight you have to accept that you will not be able to go back to the way you used to eat. This is the hardest part of losing weight, in my opinion.

2. Get Moving. My biggest problem is that I have a 55 hour a week sit down job. This includes my 40 hours of actual work, 5 hours at lunch, and 10 hours commute. (it can take me 45-60 minutes to get to or from work) I eat very little, but I move less. But I moved my treadmill into the sunroom and positioned it so I can see the TV. I try to use it 30 minutes everyday. Some days I go slower, some days I go faster. But the idea is to get your body in motion. Get a treadmill, do yard work, play with the kids or dogs. Just do something.

3. Cheat. Going out for a girl’s night? It’s okay to cheat. Your birthday or anniversary? Eat whatever you want. You deserve it after all. It is actually good for your willpower to cheat every once in a while as long as you limit your self to that meal or day. It prevents binging.

4. Don’t Give Up. You only fail if you stop trying. Didn’t get around to working out today? Make sure you do it tomorrow. Don’t give yourself a guilt trip. You’re human and you are going to fall off the wagon every once in a while. Just pick yourself back up and keep going. Every day is a new chance to start over.

HIDING IN SHAME

Obviously I didn’t post a video and weigh in this week.  While my weight loss this week only consisted of half a pound, that’s really not the reason I didn’t post a video.  The fact is, I was too busy.  There was so much to be done this week and I just didn’t have the time.  I’m sorry.  I am ashamed of my “lossage”..LOL.  I knew it was coming though because of that danged ol’ cream cheese danish!  Not to mention we ate like pigs on husband’s birthday.  He said he didn’t want to eat alone:(

Anyways, I’ll be working really hard this week to make up for last week and I plan to weigh in and post on Saturday morning.  This gives my 3 for sure days to exercise and hopefully have some effect;)

So, don’t give up on me!  I’ll be here for you and I hope you’re there for me.

Ouch!

That’s what my son says everytime he scrapes his arm against my leg!  Why?  Because despite shaving every other day, I have coarse hair that feels like spikes and grows like weeds.  Oh how I would love to get a laser hair removal treatment and have smooth legs for a change!  At Advanced Skin Fitness in Dallas, they tell you up front that it will require a minimum of 5 treatments to remove the hair completely.  I really like honesty in a company and they don’t mess around.

They have an awesome F&Q section that tells you exactly what will be done to prepare your skin, what they’ll do to your skin and post care treatment.  I love that they give you all this info online so you have some sort of idea what to expect.

I have two sister-in-laws that could totally go and have a Dallas hair removal laser procedure done because, well, they live in Dallas!  I’ll definitely be passing this company on to them mentioning their $50 coupon for 1st time visits and their Internet specials.  There’s nothing like being pampered and smooth legs and discounts!…LOL.

Have any of you ever had hair removal laser procedures? I would LOVE to know!  You can tell me, I won’t say a word…promise.
